I’ve been through two moves in my life. The first was when I moved out of my parents’ house when I was 18, and the second was when I moved from that home in Virginia all the way to the opposite side of the United States, California. Without a doubt, the 2500 miles across the country was the worst trip I’ve ever had! We did everything ourselves – the packing, the loading, the driving, the unload – and it was really the ultimate test on our nerves.
Looking back, I can’t believe we didn’t even think to hire long distance movers! They’re surprisingly affordable and take some of the hard work and stress off of moving between states and cross-country.

- Storage: If you don’t quite have a place to put all of your things at your new home, there are long distance moving companies that can safely store your boxes until you have a place to put everything.
- Full Service: Don’t have the energy or time to pack your own things and move them from your old house to your new one? That’s right! These companies can come out and do EVERYTHING for you! All you have to do is get yourself and your family from one place to the next and these moving companies will make sure that all of your things end up there with you, safe and sound.
Long distance moving can be a hassle, but there is hope! You can do as much as you feel comfortable doing and then get a long distance moving company to finish the rest! I definitely wish we would have looked into this service before we went through all that moving hassle!
