My Lilly is definitely an outside dog. She’ll come inside for short bursts, but prefers the wild outside much more. During the cool months, though, my dear dog kind of forces herself to come inside when the sun goes down.
Lilly is a small dog with a small bladder. Unfortunately, she can’t always hold that tiny bladder throughout the entire night. Often times, she’ll have an accident by the door before I can wake-up and let her out. I’ve tried putting newspaper in her usual spot, as well as that funky spray that supposedly encourages dogs to go in a certain spot. Nothing worked! Having so much trouble with artificial products, I was extremely excited to try Fresh Patch!
Fresh Patch is literally a patch of grass that’s delivered straight to your door! As soon as it was delivered, I put it in Lilly’s usual accident spot and began to introduce her to the patch of grass. I brought her in for the night kind of early in hopes of catching her having to go potty. As soon as I saw her go to the door and start sniffing around, I ran over and put her on the Fresh Patch. She did seem a little weirded out that a patch of fresh grass was in our living-room {we do live in the desert, after all}, but within a few minutes, she went to the bathroom!
When I woke-up the next morning, I was so pleased to see that my dog had gone potty on the Fresh Patch two more times during the night! I was so pleased and pretty surprised with how quickly she caught on! I wanted to take a picture of her using it, but she just wouldn’t have it. She’s used it a few times since, though, so I know it works and I can tell she loves being able to go in a spot that she’s SUPPOSED to go in. It just goes to show, real dogs really do like real grass!

Fresh Patch cost $19 {even cheaper if you sign up for the weekly delivery} and the patch pasts about a week with daily use. It continues to grow, so even if you pup doesn’t use it daily, it probably won’t last more than 7-10 days. All patches of grass are mailed out on Mondays and sent overnight so that you receive them Tuesdays. This year, give the pet-lover in your life a Fresh Patch!
